Just a short post today, but I couldn’t help but notice that when I was watching Danger Mouse with my kids today I noticed that the villain was none other than Count Duckula! A classic villain from the original series and one who spawned his own series of course! Duckula’s introduction was interesting as he appeared in quite a frightening manner!

Pretty eerie right? If you can see through the shadows above it will reveal something quite familiar; although I’ll get to that later.It’s a classic dracula/vampiric-esque introduction which I thought was quite cool.

The one thing I must say is that I was concerned by how they were going to portray Duckula himself! Fortunately he is still the same vegetarian, showbiz obsessed character we always knew. So without further ado here is the new Count Duckula:

Here he is and if you look above him you will notice that the shadows have gone and the writers have paid homage to the original Count Duckula – well the one that had his own show. The actual first count looked slightly different. He is cool and he is currently running his own tv series in Transylvania, with which he hypnotises the townsfolk, forcing them to watch. They also turn into vegetables which he occasionally bites chunks from. see penfold below:

I have to say that this is a great episode (From duck to dawn) – as pretty much every episode of the new series is!
